On the first day of the Czech students' mobility to Poland, part of an enriching international collaboration between two schools, the agenda was meticulously crafted to serve dual pivotal objectives. The morning session was dedicated to an immersive exploration into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), an area that represents the cutting edge of technology and innovation. This segment was thoughtfully designed to peel back the layers of AI, initiating with fundamental inquiries such as the essence of AI, the underlying mechanics of language models, the nature and source of data that fuels the training of these models, the intricate workings of algorithms, and the critical issue of privacy in the digital age. The discussions were structured to be both enlightening and interactive, ensuring that participants could share their pre-existing notions of AI while being introduced to the vast expanse of new information and perspectives. The realization quickly dawned on the attendees that their journey into the world of AI was just beginning, with vast territories of knowledge yet to be explored, especially given the field's dynamic and ever-evolving nature. Transitioning from the intellectually stimulating morning sessions, the afternoon was orchestrated to pivot towards building interpersonal relationships and cultural exchange. In a carefully planned cultural tour, the participants were guided through the historic heart of the host city. This was not merely a sightseeing tour but an integral component of the project's ethos - to marry the digital with the real, the historical with the futuristic. By walking through the city's landmarks, the students from Czechia were not only introduced to Poland's rich cultural heritage but were also provided with a tangible context for the importance of maintaining a connection with the real world, amidst the virtual realms they were learning to navigate. This inaugural day encapsulated the overarching goals of the project: to arm the youth with a nuanced understanding and critical thinking skills about digital technologies and AI, fostering a generation that is not only technologically proficient but also ethically aware and emotionally resilient. The day's activities were a testament to the project's commitment to developing a holistic understanding of the digital age, emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach that values mental and social well-being as much as technological prowess. The mobility of students is part of a project supported by The International Visegrad Fund.
